Congratulations Lucian and Akel

Glen November 23, 2016

Lucian has worked at our resort for over 10 year . She started as a cook and is now a pastry chef. She is a mother of two beautiful girls. We know Lucian to be extremely hardworking. In fact, she has won the Service Excellence Award many times at our staff awards.

Her coconut bakes that are served with our Grenadian Breakfast, a local favorite on Sundays, are legendary. She also makes our in house ice cream and loves experimenting with new and unusual flavours. Thanks to Lucian we have tasted Avocado and Red pepper ice cream, and as it turns out, they are pretty amazing. Whenever you see Lucian you are sure be greeted with a warm smile!

We want to congratulate Lucian and her Husband on their recent wedding! Check out some  shots taken by our resident photographer Arthur Daniel of their special day.

Congratulations to you both from all of us at True Blue Bay Boutique Resort

An excerpt from Khalil Gibran on Marriage from his poetry book “The Prophet”

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.
