True Blue Bay Resort Secures Another Environmental Award

Glen December 8, 2016

We are excited to share that on Saturday November 26th we won the Grenada Chamber of  Industry and Commerce Environmental Excellence Award. This is the second time our family run resort has been recognized by the Grenada Chamber of Industry and Commerce for  the work we do to protect the environment at the resort and throughout Grenada. Staying green is incorporated into our operations at every level.

Lead by our  Green Team, the resort’s staff, management and guests work together to: recycle over 60 % of its waste, consume less harmful fossil fuel produced electricity by powering 8 % of our operations with solar energy and recycling grey water to irrigate our luscious gardens among numerous other green efforts.  We have also banned the use of styrofoam on site since opening the resort over 18 years ago.

Although we are very  proud of our green achievements, hotel owner, Russ Fielden, knows there is plenty work that still needs to be done to halt the rapid onset of global warming. We hope to be a light of inspiration to the local community and corporate Grenada to do its part and adopt environmentally sustainable practices.
